The geothermal research request initiated by our Mayor Adem Şengül in order to evaluate alternative energy sources in Develi and contribute to the regional economy was welcomed positively.
Within the scope of the process of conducting geothermal resource research in the region known as "Karataş" and "Sarıtaş", located in the Yay Lake location between Sindelhöyük and Çayırözü neighborhoods of our district, on-site inspection in the field together with Geological Engineer Sinan Sarp from the Geothermal Energy and Thermal Springs Unit of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) Energy Raw Materials Survey and Exploration Department. was carried out.
It was stated that the samples taken during the examination will be analyzed by the relevant institutions and information about the results will be forwarded to our Municipality as soon as possible.
Our Mayor Adem Şengül made a statement: "We are determinedly continuing all kinds of work that will contribute to the development of our district by unearthing the underground resources of Develi."
