DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR MARRIAGE PROCEDURES
DOCUMENTS THAT COUPLES GETTING MARRIED IN DEVELİ NEED TO PREPARE
1- IDENTITY CARD
a) Identity cards must have a photograph, be no older than ten years, and the photograph must resemble the individuals. The original and one photocopy of each card must be brought.
2- PHOTOGRAPH
a) 5 photographs must be brought. The photographs must be in color, taken from the front within the last six months. (Different and color photographs are not acceptable.) (Pictures taken with glasses are not accepted, reproductions from old photographs are not accepted.) 3-HEALTH REPORT Citizens must first obtain a health referral from our office and then go to a Health Center or Hospital to obtain a health report.
4-MARRIAGE AGE
a) Men and women who have reached the age of eighteen (18) can marry of their own free will.
b) Men and women who have reached the age of seventeen (17) can marry with the permission of their parents or guardians.
c) Men and women who have reached the age of sixteen (16) can marry with the permission of a judge (with a court decision).
d) If widowed or divorced women wish to marry before the 300-day waiting period expires, they must obtain a court decision to waive the waiting period.
5-FOREIGN NATIONALS
a) Turkish marriage eligibility certificate; It will be obtained from the competent central authorities of the foreign state or from the consulates of that state. Except for multilingual and Apostille documents, it will be certified by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If the document is in a foreign language, after being certified by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a notarized Turkish translation will be made.
b) A notarized Turkish translation of the passport and identity card will be made.
d) If the foreign national does not know Turkish, they must bring a sworn Turkish translator to the marriage ceremony.
6-PERMIT DOCUMENT
a) Those residing outside Develi must obtain a permit document from the marriage registry office of their place of residence. If one of the couple resides in Develi, the couple can complete all their procedures in Develi.
b) Those residing in Develi who wish to obtain a permit document must apply with 5 photographs, their national identity card, a photocopy of their national identity card, and the original and a photocopy of their population registration certificate.
7-APPLICATION
a) Family Register Fee and Charges will be paid to our municipality during the application.
b) Women who wish to use their husband's surname together with their surname will fill out and submit one surname application form.
8-ATTENTION!
a) Couples who have scheduled a wedding ceremony are requested to arrive 10-15 minutes before the ceremony time with two witnesses over the age of 18 who know them.
b) All documents are valid for six months.
