Biography:
He was born in Şıhlı neighborhood in 1962. He completed his primary and secondary education in Adana. He graduated from Develi High School in 1981 and from the Faculty of Business Administration in 1996 (he completed his military service as a non-commissioned officer in Erzurum for 20 months between 1982-1983). He started working as a police officer in Develi Municipality in 1985. He served as a Police Commissioner. In 1996, he was appointed as the Head of the Secretariat. He held this position for many years. During this period, he served on various commissions. He served as a member of the Municipal Council and as a member of the Consumer Problems Arbitration Board. Following the establishment of civil servant unions, he oversaw the activities of the Turkish Local Services Union in Develi Municipality and surrounding municipalities. In 2012, he participated in the establishment of the Develi Municipality Education, Culture and Cooperation Association. He served as its president from its inception. Halil Korkmaz, who has successfully served in various capacities within our municipality, was appointed as deputy mayor following the 2024 local elections.

He was born in Cambaz Neighborhood in 1966. He completed his primary education at Cambaz Primary School, his secondary education at Şıhlı Secondary School. He completed his high school education at Kayseri Open High School. He started his university education at Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, Department of Marketing and Foreign Trade, Public Relations and Promotion. He completed his undergraduate education at Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, Department of Business Administration. He completed his Master's degree at Hoca Ahmet Yesevi International Turkish-Kazakh University, Faculty of Social Sciences, in the field of Local Governments. He completed his military service in Cyprus in 1986. He started his civil service career in 1993 as a Firefighter at Develi Municipality and has held various positions within the municipality to this day. Appointed to the position of Director of Support Services in 2011 and still serving in this position, Mehmet Gülü is married and has 3 children.
