Our National Anthem is 104 Years Old.
The Adoption of the National Anthem and Commemoration Program for Our National Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy was held at the Mustafa Aksu Cultural Center with a program prepared by Selçuk Maşlak Secondary School.
The program, which was related to the adoption of the National Anthem 104 years ago, was attended by the District Protocol, as well as the people of Develi and students.
Following the moment of silence and the National Anthem, the program continued with a speech by the School Principal, Ömer Faruk Dönmez, highlighting the importance of the day. The program included poetry recitations by the school students, an oratorio performance explaining the life of Mehmet Akif and how our National Anthem was written, all of which were greatly appreciated. At the end of the program, the district protocol presented the awards to the students who won prizes in the 12 March themed competition held throughout our district. Our Mayor, Adem Şengül, expressed his gratitude to the school administration and students who contributed to the preparation of the program, saying, “Our National Anthem, which we are celebrating its 104th anniversary, will always exist under the protection of our beloved nation. Our beloved nation's victories on the battlefields, which Master Mehmet Akif meticulously crafted and gifted to us as our National Anthem, will always exist under the protection of our beloved nation.” "I commemorate Akif, our dear martyrs and our heroic veterans with gratitude and appreciation," he stated.
