Martyr İlker Duran was commemorated with prayers on the first anniversary of his martyrdom.
Şırnak Our fellow citizen, Police Officer İlker Duran, who was martyred last year as a result of a traffic accident while serving in the Intelligence Branch Directorate, was commemorated with prayers at his grave. After the Mevlid recited in our district's Bazaar Mosque before Friday Prayer in the name of our martyr İlker Duran and all our martyrs, our district protocol, the martyr's family and loved ones commemorated our martyr with Quran recitation and prayers at the City Cemetery.
Stating that martyrdom is the highest rank one can attain, our Mayor Adem Şengül said, “Our martyrs are our heroes who gave their lives for our homeland and sacred values. Our duty to them is to wholeheartedly embrace the values for which they sacrificed their lives. I once again pray to God for mercy for our martyr İlker Duran, whose grave we are standing at, and for all our martyrs, and I wish patience to his family and all his loved ones.”
