Due to agricultural frost, our Governor Mr. Gökmen Çiçek and our Metropolitan Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç conducted inspections in our district.

On the night of Friday, April 12, 2025, in Kayseri and in our district, to see firsthand the effects of the agricultural frost caused by the extreme cold and snowfall seen in recent years, our Governor of Kayseri, Mr. Gökmen Çiçek, and our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mr. Dr. Governor Memduh Büyükkılıç, District Governor Yusuf Turan, AK Party Kayseri Provincial Chairman Hüseyin Okandan, Mayor Adem Şengül, AK Party District Chairman Mehmet Toker, Provincial Director of Agriculture Bülent Saklav, District Director of Agriculture Hasan Avanoğlu, Develi Chamber of Agriculture President Mehmet Murat, village heads and producers inspected the apple orchard belonging to Özgür Orhan in Gazi Neighborhood. Governor Gökmen Çiçek, who received information from officials and producers about the effects of the agricultural frost, said, “I extend my condolences to our producers for this disaster. Unfortunately, our losses are very great. Hopefully, under the coordination of our Provincial and District Directorates of Agriculture, the necessary training will be given to our producers to save our trees and minimize the damage. Our state is always on the side of the producers.” "May God protect us from all kinds of disasters," he stated.

In Develi, Our Mayor Adem Şengül stated that approximately 10,000 decares of land were negatively affected by agricultural frost, "We experienced a natural disaster that negatively affected and greatly saddened all of us. We know that our farmers tried to take precautions with their own efforts. Our Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. İbrahim Yumaklı, consulted with the MPs of the provinces affected by agricultural frost and discussed the work to be carried out in the coming period. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do when there is a natural disaster. As always, our state will continue to stand by our farmers and producers. May God protect us from all kinds of disasters. I extend my condolences to our producers who suffered the most from this disaster that affected all of us," he said.
