An “Autism Awareness Day” event was organized at the Develi Barrier-Free Living Center in Yukarı Develi Neighborhood, which also has the distinction of being the only rehabilitation center in our country for autistic individuals aged 13 and over.
The event was attended by our fellow citizen, former Kayseri Member of Parliament Sami Dedeoğlu, our Mayor Adem Şengül, Kayseri Deputy Director of Family and Social Services Ahmet Emin Keleş, Develi Social Services Center Director Sait Postallı, AK Party District Chairman Mehmet Toker, Municipal Council members and village heads.
Stating that the state has shown sensitivity to this issue and provides services with expert institutions and teams, especially due to the increase in autistic individuals in the world and in our country in recent years, Our Mayor Adem Şengül said: “In the Rehabilitation Center, which has a total area of 12,671 square meters, including 3,000 square meters of indoor space, and consists of 7 separate independent sections, our autistic brothers and sisters are served with modern facilities and in a professional manner by 63 personnel. On this special day, I wish my special autistic brothers and sisters a life full of health and well-being from the Almighty God.”
